Job Title: Strapper Operator / Forklift (Taylor) Operator / Shipping & Kiln Worker
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused team member to join our production and shipping operations. This position combines responsibilities in strapping, forklift operation, and kiln/shipping support. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced industrial setting, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Operate the strapping machine to bundle lumber safely and according to specifications
Operate a Taylor forklift to move, load, and unload lumber and materials efficiently
Assist with kiln operations, including loading and unloading lumber for drying
Inspect lumber bundles for quality, grade, and accurate tagging before shipment
Work with the shipping team to prepare and organize loads for delivery
Maintain accurate records of materials moved, shipped, or received
Follow all safety procedures and ensure equipment is properly operated and maintained
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Capable of performing repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods (piling lumber, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs)
Comfortable working in environments with moving machinery, noise, dust, and changing weather conditions
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process is an asset
Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of urgency
